1.   Who will meet in the Fiesta Bowl for the national title and who will win it all?

It’s USC vs. Ohio State (of course, it could also be Texas vs. Miami) playing for the national title.  I’m picking Ohio State to win it all.

1.  Who will meet in the Fiesta Bowl for the national title and who will win it all?

Iowa is going to meet Auburn on Jan. 8.  Both teams have the talent and the schedule.  Iowa has a slightly easier way as there's no title game for the Big Ten teams, but Auburn has the coach who'll be able to bring home all the glory.

1. Who will meet in the Fiesta Bowl for the national title and who will win it all?

West Virginia over Notre Dame

Notre Dame has everything to make a run at the national title.  West Virginia benefits greatly from a soft schedule.  These two teams will battle it out on Jan. 8 in Arizona.  Notre Dame’s defense will be unable to answer the duo of Pat White and Steve Slaton therefore the Mountaineers bring back a title to Morgantown.

2.   What are your wishes for this season?

I’m hoping for accurate and unbiased officiating in every game.  I’m hoping that an official won’t inject himself into the game and will allow the game to be decided on the field.  I’m hoping for a season without career-ending injuries.  I’m hoping for a bowl season full of interesting games and interesting matchups.

2.  What are your wishes for this season?

With an extra game allowed this season, chances are higher for a player to get seriously hurt.  My biggest wish, as always, is for everyone to get through another season without any major injuries.  My next wish would be for a huge BCS mess where teams good teams such as California, Auburn, Iowa, Miami, Boise State, and Pittsburgh all go undefeated and cause doubt about who the actual number one team in the nation.  This would lead to serious talk about a playoff system churns.

2.  What are your wishes for this season?

I wish the old ball coach, Steve Spurrier, leads his team to victory in his first visit to the Swamp since bolting for the Washington Redskins.  I was not a fan of Spurrier when he was roaming the sidelines in Gainesville, but I admire the job he has done in Columbia.  You know it had to be sweet for him to beat the Gators last season, but nothing would be better than winning where he won the 1996 National Championship.

3. Which game are you most looking forward to and why?

The Nov. 25 matchup between USC and Notre Dame is the game I’m most looking forward to seeing.  Last season’s game was unbelievable and one of the best college football games of all time.  If the game this season is half as entertaining, it’ll still be a great one.  The fact that both teams should be highly ranked only adds to the excitement.

3.  Which game are you most looking forward to and why?

Early on in the season, Ohio State travels to Texas.  Last year's game was great, and this year it should line up to be just as dramatic.  In the middle part of the season Virginia Tech travels to Miami for what  might be labeled as a revenge game from last year's debacle in Blacksburg.  The Cal-USC game will also be something to talk about for quite some time.

3. Which game are you most looking forward to and why?

Ohio State vs. Texas, what a treat so early in the season.

4. Which coach needs to win now and who will be the first coach fired?

Bill Doba of Washington State needs to win now.  Doba’s teams have gone 9-13 the past two seasons, and last season’s four wins came over Idaho, Grambling, Nevada and Washington.  If the Cougars hadn’t beaten the Huskies, Doba would’ve likely already been gone.  This is the year WSU needs to reach a bowl or Doba’s history.

4.  Which coach needs to win now and who will be the first coach fired?

Lloyd Carr is a great coach, but going 1-5 against Ohio State won't cut it.  If Carr cannot defeat the Buckeyes this year, and even if he does if his Big Blue team doesn't make it to the Rose Bowl, he might find himself becoming the next ESPN college football commentator come the first Saturday in September 2007.

4. Which coach needs to win now and who will be the first coach fired?

Fans are getting restless in Knoxville which means Phillip Fulmer must bounce back from a 5-6 season.  After its worst season in 21 years, Michigan has given Lloyd Carr his last chance to turn things around.  At most schools, a 9-3 record earns a coaching staff a raise, but at Miami that record forced Coker to bring in six new assistants.  The Hurricanes have the talent to win, but many question if Coker is the right coach to translate the talent to wins.  I believe Coker is the wrong man for the job and will be the first coach fired.  The whole Miami program might be in trouble.    It doesn’t help Coker’s case that his former boss, Butch Davis, is still unemployed.  Coker needs an ACC title to survive.

5. Who are the three hottest players in the nation?

Brady Quinn, Notre Dame.  Hot face, hot body, great player.

Colt Brennan, Hawaii.  If he wanted to do porn, he not only has the looks but the name too.

John David Booty, USC.  The name says it all.

5. Who are the three hottest players in the nation?

Florida's Eric Wilbur will have me watching the Gators all season long.  That boy is near perfect.

Vanderbilt's Bryant Hahnfeldt.  His roster/bio picture … damn!  That intense stare is amazing.

Oklahoma's Adrian Peterson not only has the skills to win the Heisman Trophy, but he's got the looks to match it!

5. Who are the three hottest players in the nation?

Brady Quinn

Drew Weatherford (Florida State)

Brian Cushing (Southern Cal)

6.     What are your predictions for this season’s biggest upsets?

Fresno State over Oregon

North Carolina over Virginia Tech

Vanderbilt over Florida

6.  What are your predictions for this season's biggest upsets?

Arkansas is going to give USC their second loss in a row (remember who lost to Texas last season) and Georgia Tech will beat Notre Dame the first weekend of this season.  Texas A&M will find a way to beat Texas which will allow Oklahoma to win the Big XII South.

6. What are your predictions for this season's biggest upsets?

Nebraska over Texas, Michigan over Ohio State, Texas over Ohio State

7.      Who are your top 3 non-BCS teams?

1.  Boise State

2.  TCU

3.  Utah

7.  Who are your top 3 non-BCS teams?

1. Boise State – even without Dan Hawkins, the Broncos have what it takes to rule the WAC.

2. Utah – year #2 without Urban Meyer and the Utes will make their fourth bowl game in a row.

3. Houston – the only game the Cougars can't win is a roadie at Miami (FL).

7. Who are your top 3 non-BCS teams?

Boise State, BYU, UTEP.

8.   Which weekend this season will you be glued to the TV and why?

Opening weekend looks particularly interesting, especially since it’s an entire long holiday weekend of TV games over five consecutive days, culminating in Monday’s Miami-Florida State matchup.

8.  Which weekend this season will you be glued to the TV and why?

Labor Day weekend.  With ESPN's Game Plan and the Sports Package from DirecTV, no one will see me outside my place the entire weekend.  Too many games to be watched.  Too many plays to see.  Too many chances for some big upsets that just can't be missed!

8. Which weekend this season will you be glued to the TV and why?

In addition to opening weekend, nothing beats Sep. 9 when Ohio State faces Texas, Notre Dame vs. Penn State, Georgia vs. South Carolina, Oregon vs. Fresno State, Texas Tech vs. UTEP.

9.   Who are the nation’s most underrated and overrated teams?

Overrated:  Tennessee, Oklahoma, TCU

Underrated:  Oregon, Boise State, Tulsa

9.  Who are the nation's most underrated and overrated teams?

Notre Dame is getting way too much love.  When was the last time the Fighting Irish actually lived up to their hype?  And why did the NCAA give the Fighting Irish the "OK" to use that phrase as their name yet the University of North Dakota can no longer be the Fighting Sioux? Yeah, hypocrisy at its best.

No one's talking about Texas Tech this season.  The Red Raiders have been the most consistent team in the Big XII having 11 straight winning seasons.  Granted, TT has been spotty in bowl games going 8-20-1, but they are 3-2 over their past 5.  The Red Raiders get the nasty Longhorns at home and might be good enough to pull the upset.

9. Who are the nation's most underrated and overrated teams?

Underrated: 1.  South Carolina; 2.  Florida State; 3.  Northern Illinois

Overrated:  1. Southern Cal; 2.  Wisconsin; 3.  Pittsburgh
