Are the Colts homos?

I had not known that the Indianapolis Colts were a homosexual NFL team (how would their ultra-religious coach Tony Dungy ever allow such a thing?). But at least one angry Jacksonville Jaguars fan thinks so after the Colts beat the Jags 28-25 (from the Jags message board):

I’m tired of of that band of homos.

I’m tired of their homo passing plays.

I’m tired of their homo fans spilling corn on this message board.

I’m tired of the homo NFL giving them breaks.

They can all line up single file and lick my butt.

The fan himself must have some gay yearnings since he desires a homosexual act to be performed on him (he also titled the post “Screw the Colts”). I knew there was a reason I was a Colts fan. –Jim Buzinski

You whinny little Jag fans! Just because you are and will be always 2nd class football team as long as you are in the AFC South, you want to lable the Colts! Do you want cheese to go with that Whine? Get over it. The Colts are and will be the better team!

I think the poster was just confused. Replace “homo” with “homophobe”, and you’ve got a perfect description of the Colts and their coach…

Well I can understand why he is so upset, and admits that even a whole team of homosexual players can beat the J’ville Jagoffs! Yikes!

I work for the Colts and I’m openly gay. I have a good relationship with Coach Dungy and the rest of the players. We are a first class organization.

    Hey Benjamin:
I was curious as to what Dungy thinks of gay people, in light of his raising tons of money for that anti-gay group? And what do players think in general?
    Thanks!

Even though the Colts are a better team doesn’t mean you have to say all of that bull shit! You probably wish instead of them sticking a tounge there you wish they would stick a dick up there but the Colts are not gay :!: Ya the Colts might not go to the Super Bowl this year but you don’t have any reason to put that stuff on the internet  So go be your little Jaguars team fan and quit saying all of that stuff about the Super Bowl Champs ya how do you like hearing that Super Bowl Champs, Super Bowl Champs, Super Bowl Champs,Super Bowl Champs, Super Bowl Champs, Super Bowl Champs, Super Bowl Champs. Anyways get over it #1 Del Rio can’t win a challenge and #2 we are better than you and we will always be better than you.

Okay tough guy or what ever kind of dumb ass you are if you are so brave in saying stuff like that on the internet than it wouldn’t be that bad for you to say that right to the face of about 50 to 60 thousand people at the RCA Dome. I bet this is going to be the best reply so far and lots of people will be talking about this one if you really like it write to me my e-mail is coltssbxli@yahoo.com

    Hey Alex:
I don’t think the Jags poster will be reading this blog. You can post something on the thread he started:

    Thanks!

It’s sad that Jaguars fans like myself have to be represented in a national forum by someone who is clearly an idiot. Not all Jags fans are that stupid and some of us are even homos like myself.

Wow… The day has come when even a gay forum can be filled with the clamor of angry men declaring their fierce loyalty to a group of physical entertainers nominally identified with their home cities. All RIGHT! We queers have finally achieved equality!!

Jim, I’m sure some of Tony Dungy’s best friends are gay, but that didn’t stop him from vocally supporting a so-called “pro-family” group whose goal is to deny gays the right to marry. It’s the same, tired “love the sinner, but hate the sin” argument that Christians use to justify their bigotry…

Well this has been interesting! I’m glad to see both sides of this issue being discussed. Dungy appears to be homophobic and needs to be called on it if he is going to play in the national arena of America. If he’s not, let him explain why he supports a pro-family group with a grotesque mission! I’m not castigating the athleticism of the Colts organization, just their attitude and values.

Coincidentally, Tony Dungy discusses the gay issue while being interviewed on the current episode of “Costas Now” (HBO). My talents for effective recall are lacking at this time, so I’ll leave the recap to someone else. I’ll just say that Costas probably had done his research and knew about Tony’s dealings with the Christian homophobic group – and decided to sneak in the “Would you welcome gays on your team?” question. Tony hesitates for several seconds before launching into his “diplomatic” response.
