Sports roundup: BCS unconstitutional? Dickie V. quiets down

- The commissioners of the conferences that control the BCS shot down a proposal that would have pitted the BCS’ Nos. 3 and 4 teams, Oklahoma and Virginia Tech, against one another in the Orange Bowl. I don’t know why anyone wonders why they didn’t want it; it would have simply added to the clamour for a “plus-one” format, with the winner of that game laying claim to the National runner-up spot.

- Abercrombie (not the one with naked boys) and Hawaii claim the BCS is unconstitutional. Finally, a good question to ask potential Supreme Court candidates!

Addng Oklahoma and Virginia Tech would have been smart? Are you kidding me?

USC IMO are both better than VT and Oklahoma.

Look who VT los to- LSU by freakin 41 points. How in god’s name can you suggest VT deserves to be a top 4 team unless they beat anoyher BCS bowl team like Kansas.

WVU has just as much argument if not more than VT to be in this game. The same bodes with Oklahoma. Look who the sooners lost to- average colorado and texas tech. Missouri lose it’s two games to Oklahoma. Why should VT, have priority over WVU, Missouri, USC, or even Kansas.

If you are going to make an argument about the BCS, at least apply common sense.

I think USC is the best team right now but in the screwy system they were done the minute they lost their 2nd game, while LSU was the golden children who got every break in the system.
