Hours after writing the post below about Spanish soccer star Jose Maria Gutierrez Hernandez being caught by a tabloid kissing a man outside a restaurant, I came across evidence that he might have been kissing a woman with a very short haircut.
Some reports on various soccer websites say that “Guti” was kissing the daughter of Spanish musician and actor Miguel Bose. Another, quoting what it was said was the player’s representative, says that the person was Guti’s sister and he was celebrating the fact that she is pregnant. For comparison, the photo on the top is from the tabloid and the photo on the bottom is of Bose with his daughter.
I am not sure what to believe and will keep this updated. –Jim Buzinski

Well… of course Guti’s fansite (http://www.gutih.com/) hurried to assure that the other person was indeed a woman; they first came up with a short-haired supermodel called Bimba Bosé, the sister of the famous metrosexual actor and singer Miguel Bosé
Then the leading Spanish news daily El País (http://tinyurl.com/3xuso6) published an even more innocent explanation saying that it was in fact Guti’s sister whom Guti congratulated for her newly confirmed pregnancy.
Cannot wait tomorrow’s news, perhaps they will tell that it was in fact the Queen of Spain, nobody would dare to question her about it and she is above all suspicion anyhow.
But wait, the word ‘queen’ sounds a little suspicious, what about the Arch Bishop of Spain, whatshisname…

I found this on a comments section of the London Guardian after they ran a piece about gays in soccer a year ago:
Football is deeply homophobic, witness the chants of faggot aimed at Guti because he has a friend who changed sex, and the complete panic shown by Cannavaro in an interview after an Italian magazine suggested that there were 20 (at least) gay men in Serie A.
