As you know from other postings, I am Tennessee alum and travel weekly in the fall to see my Vols play. I knew of Jackie some time ago, but like many athletes -- particularly here in the south -- being gay is something that is "not talked about" by most. Jackie is why so many of us love Tennessee football. Why we love the tradition and history that is a hallmark of our great institution. Perhaps this is yet another step to my college and others throughout the country to recognize the contributions and accomplishments of ALL athletes.
