The New York Rangers and MSG are going to implement specific actions to stop the anti-gay chants that sometimes rain down from the stands of home games.
I’ve got to hand it to both sides on this one. It seems like this has been handled in a professional, mutually respectful way that should make for a more enjoyable experience at the Garden. No jumping up and down, no screaming. Just working through proper channels, sitting down at a table, and sharing ideas. Kudos to all. -Cyd Zeigler jr.

Well now if they can take care of The Boston Bruins fans and huge problem there. We attended a recent play-off game at TD Banknorth Garden and could not believe the situation we found ourselves in. Verbal abuse, constant harassment from drunk fans, NO security visible during the game, on the concourses and worst exiting. Fights everywhere but what I could not believe was the obsession Boston fans have with calling all other opposing fans faggots, gay and worse at all times even in public restaurants and no one calls them on it. This is pervasive with the majority of the fans. They don’t even know if someone is gay or not they still use all the derisive terms freely and many times as a group. Ushers do nothing. We were there for a Montreal/Boston game and Montreal fans have a song they sing (more like a chant) OLE, OLE, OLE….Boston fans substitute “YOU’RE GAY, YOU’RE GAY, YOU’RE GAY. Infantile, moronic behaviour. GLAAD needs to take care of Boston next!
