New York sports fans are often divided into two categories; the Yankess-Giants-Rangers and Knicks fan or the Mets-Jets-Islanders and Knicks fan (no one root for the Nets - LOL). The last championship for the Mets-Jets-Islander fan was the 1986 Mets. 22 years and counting is a long time to wait. FYI, since 1986 the Yankees-Giants-Rangers fan has enjoyed eight championships. But they just don't count. Not many people care about any of those teams.
