I certainly understand the quiet, internal relief a fan might feel when a player they just can’t beat gets knocked out for the season, but this is pretty sad. A Pittsburgh fan Web site is selling a t-shirt celebrating Tom Brady’s torn ACL. Seriously, that is just totally classless. I’d say it if it was a Pats fan celebrating an injury to Peyton Manning or LaDainian Tomlinson. It’s just totally gross for anyone to celebrate the injury to any other player, I don’t care who it is. I do understand it at some level, though. The Steelers are a miserable 1-5 against Tom Brady (0-2 in the playoffs, both at home), with their one win coming thanks in part to big Patriots injuries. If the Steelers make another run to the Super Bowl, they may want to consider giving their team MVP award to Kansas City Chief Bernard Pollar for laying the hit on Brady.

Having grown up in Pa., using “tasteless” and “Steelers fans” in the same sentence is stating the obvious.

I think anyone who cheers the injury of a player is the scum of the earth. That’s why I’ll never love Philly fans. You want your team to be the best, they have to beat the best.

I have been a Steeler fan for many year and I could not agree with you more regarding the t-shirt. You must remember that Steeler fans cannot be lumped together any more than Patriot fans can. There are jerks that root for every team.

If I see a person wearing that shirt, he will get punched by me.

I didn’t mean that ALL Steelers fans are jerks, just that whoever is doing this are jerks. Every team has fans that are jerks. Except the Cardinals; you have to have won SOMETHING to be a jerk

Something that jay original and those who think like him ought to wake up and realize.

Badger634: I wear that shirt and I wouldn’t advise you to attempt to punch me or anybody else who wishes to wear any shirt. If it offends you then that’s tough. Start punching your keyboard tough guy.

This guy runs a t-shirt shop in Pittsburgh. You portray him as a Steeler fan. He is a fan of money and will do anything for it apparently. Yet you chose to identify him as a Steeler fan.
And there is an article today on CBSsportline stating that he sold $2,000 worth of shirts today to Jets fans preparing for the game. Where is the tasteless Jets fans post?
Yet, you chose to label this article as “Truly Tasteless Steeler Fans” You used the plural, fans, not fan. And then you say you did mean all Steeler fans. Then why did you say fans?
And didn’t use any care in checking out the fact that it was a business owner, not a casual fan.
And then Buzinski chimes in with his usual anti-Pittsburgh crap.
You both dropped the ball on this one. But I don’t expect either one to address the points mentioned by me.
