The Phillies are one win away from the second World Series championship in their history, and the first championship for any Philadelphia team in the four major pro sports in 25 years. The anticipation of what might happen as soon as tomorrow night is already pounding my brain.
This is bad news for Fox, however. The ratings through three games are down 23 percent from last year’s Series, and the 91-minute rain delay for Game 3 caused it to be the lowest-rated World Series game ever. Fox desperately needs a six- or seven-game series in order to get the most out of its investment. With ace Cole Hamels on the mound for the Phillies tomorrow, well, Fox is in a difficult situation. Can’t say I feel sorry for them, though.
One more win…

Unless you are a Phillies fan, it has been a rather dull series and not appointment TV. I do hope the Phils close it out since Philly Outsports fans have been our most loyal and the city deserves a champ.
I do recall with fondness JIP’s sig of 18 months ago — Fire Charlie Manuel Now.
