(Looking at the standings now, had the Jets won they and Miami would've been 10-6 and the Pats at 11-5 would've taken the division.) Actually, I feel a little bad for the Patriots this year. They did well despite losing Tom "Errand Boy" Brady in week 1. It's unfortunate that they're 11-5 and out while the Chargers are 8-8 and in. But the only way to get around this is to do away with divisions and just have the top 6 in the conference make the playoffs, and I think that would be awful.
