While most Americans have been fawning over Michael Phelps since the Olympics, the International Sports Press Association has named Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt their Athlete of the Year. Phelps finished second. Both athletes had tremendous years, but I would have personally given it to Bolt as well. Phelps is much better looking and should have won. There will be faster sprinters, but no one will ever win 8 gold medals again. A bias against swimming.
