T.O.? More like N-O.

WAT U M3AN U CUT ME? :(

Terrell Owens got his popcorn last night with a little surprise.  His release from the Dallas Cowboys.  The Cowboys decided a $9 million cap hit was worth getting rid of the future Hall of Famer (for ability in both football & inducing headaches).  Sources are reporting that Owens finally just became too much of a distraction to deal with any more and that a 35-year old Owens just wasn’t worth it any more.  This cut also fits in with the Cowboys’ wave of disposing of headaches as Owens joined Pacman Jones and Tank Johnson, and was later joined by (the evil) Roy Williams.

So the question is, where does TO take the show from here.   About 10 teams either leaked or blatantly said they have no interest.  Pro Football Talk has compiled this ‘Anti-TO list’ and new teams are being added by the minute.  As for the interested team, well it’s early, but speculation says Oakland, Seattle, and say it with me boys and girls, New England, would be interested.  Personally, I think Indianapolis would make a very interesting fit, if The Player could shut up for a season.

Interesting times lie ahead. But, it would be nice to see this again:

T.O. Kaboom.

The Cowboys also released a few other of their problem children. I suspect all of this is a buildup to naming a new head coach.

Here’s my guess on what’s really going on. The Cowboys are either in the process or have already completed negotiations with a new big name head coach (e.g., Cowher, Shanahan, etc.) and one of the conditions placed on the Cowboys by the soon to be named coach was to get rid of Owens and some of the other problems from last year’s team before the new coach would agree to take the job.

That makes sense Mike…. T.O. was told he was safe by Jerry Jones and he ended up not, as did Wade Phillips.. His time is about to end.. or maybe they will see how the season goes. Shanahan would be a good fit
