The annual King of the Hardwood contest, run by Layne (aka Mariner Duck Guy) from our Discussion Board, kicks off later this week with the field of 64. This year’s contest features the Americas vs. the World. Check out the seedings here. We will post links to the balloting once it starts. In scanning the diverse field, my eyes have settled on an early fave: Swedish decathlete Bjorn Barrefors. Look at the group and let us know who you like.
The Swede attends the University of Nebraska and this past weekend finished third in the heptathlon at the NCAA men’s indoor track and field championships. Go below the jump for several great images of Barrefors from our friends at Trackpic.net taken last summer.
