Tiger Woods is back on track

All the Tiger haters have plenty to moan about today, as he came back from 5 shots down on the final day at Bay Hill to win in only his third tournament since returning from knee surgery nine months ago. Get ready to hear lots about it leading up to the Masters next weekend, because the numbers don’t lie: The overnight TV ratings for the tournament on Sunday were the highest ratings for golf since Tiger won the U.S. Open last June. That’s beating two Majors and the FedEx Cup events.

Good, now that Tiger’s back and Cyd is interested again, this makes one less “sport” I have to worry writing about!

Cyd, we don’t hate him we’re just tired of him and the commentators gushing over him. His lack of humility w/the fist pump thing is a turn off too. I guess I should check into what his foundation does and that might make me like him a bit more.

What was wrong with the fist pump? He was way behind and came back to win.

The fist pump lacks class/humility and is old with me is all. He sunk a tough putt and enriched himself another $25 million he didn’t just cure cancer.
Yes he did come back and win but he almost always wins. Boring.
The dude is one of if not the best player of the game and happily is doing good things for kids. I’m just tired of him.

Cyd, can you post about anyone you like without calling non-fans “haters”? The persecution complex is a bit much.

Crap, I have tickets to see the Angels lose to those pieces of human filth the Red Sox on Sunday the 12th, I really wanted to be able to see Padraig Harrington win (I can’t watch sports on my DVR hours later, just doesn’t work for me).

    If I recall,
Tiger didn’t come back from 5 shots down; Sean O’Hair came back from 5 shots up. If Tiger was paired with a vetran golfer, I don’t think the outcome would have been the same.

Count me in the Tiger Hater club. After watching and listening to him over the years his nickname should be America’s Nerd. Now there’s nothing wrong with being a nerd, but when Tiger and all the golf broadcasters and writers try to paint him as this sophisticated, worldly, debonair man about town simply because he can swing a golf club and putt better than anyone else, it’s all a bit too much. Throw that bafoon Stevie Williams into the mix and it’s all a bit too much.

Tiger’s a golfer dammit!! Not James Bond!!
