Favre is universally being raked over the coals (and rightfully so) for being selfish, atttention-desperate and self-indulgent. As long as he's no longer being hero-worshipped by the football media, he doesn't bother me anymore.

On the other hand, the Minnesota Vikings are driving me nuts. What in the world can they be thinking???? It's idiotic to think for even a single second bringing in Favre will be a succes. QBs do not jell with an offense in a single season. It simply takes longer than that for the QB and WRs to mesh and create an effecient offense. And at 40 years old that's all they'll get out of Favre. It's insane.

As long as anyone will hire him, Favre should continue working as long as he sees fit. Why should things be different for him than for anyone else in America?

I have lost all my respect for him. He needs to stay retired and step out of the limelight. But I doubt if his ego will let him. It can't be about the money so it must be about him wanting attention and adulation. Perhaps a therapist could help him through the adjustment phase.

I would think Brett would remember what he physically looked like after the week 17 game vs Miami last year. He was a beaten, tired man. Not everyone gets to pull an Elway and leave a champion. I really hope he doesnt do it, because his ability to play at a consistently high level is lacking.

Injury alert! Injury alert! He got injured last year, and I have to believe he's headed that way if he plays this season.

Brian Baldinger was interviewed on local radio today. He says people from the Vikings are convinced that if Favre had been their QB last year the Vikings would've gone to the Super Bowl -- the reason he wasn't a good fit for the Jets is because of their system and he would've fit in very well with the Vikes' offense.
