‘Five Dollar Footlong,’ the dance remix

Houston Rocket Ron Artest has dabbled in rap, even releasing an album. But you have to call everything you’ve ever heard from him, including his music taste, into question with the revelation that he thinks the Subway “Five Dollar Footlong” jingle is one of the best songs he’s ever heard. Read it and weep:

Five dollar footlong is one of the best songs, that’s a hot song. You’ve got the freecreditreport.com, and then five dollar footlong comes on. When five dollar footlong comes on, they should play that in the club. They should play all those in the club.

Of course, it took Subway executives no time to give Artest just what he asked for. Ten bucks says you never hear this a single time at any gay club during Pride Month (after the jump) . . .

Apparently the Kobe Bryant elbow to the throat during the NBA playoffs non-call had an impact on Ron Artest’s musical sense or maybe it knocked him up to a level of musicality that the rest of us have missed.
