Australian sprint champion Matt Shirvington cut a 3:30 video ad for Jockey that shows him running in nothing but his undies. The ad supposedly “demonstrates the fit, control and support of the Jockey Performance underwear.” Perhaps, but it’s hard to take your eyes off what’s bouncing slightly below the Jockey label and by the ripped torso above. The second ad actually got my attention more. I must be getting old.
I wonder if they were test marketed on a sample audience, and if so which demographic responded to which ad.
Do young guys actually think underwear can make them look like Shirvington? Do old guys care about protection? Just the reverse maybe? In my book a softer waistban is more important.
