EPSN’s “Outside the Lines” show addresses the dismissal of former Nebraska wrestlers Kenny Jordan and Paul Donahoe after they appeared nude on Fratmen.tv, a gay porn site (see our archive here). The show airs Sunday June 14 at 9 a.m. EDT on ESPN and noon EDT on ESPN News (see video preview above).
The program “investigates the dismissal of the Nebraska wrestlers for posing on a porn website, and the coaching staff’s own cover-ups.” The wrestlers had some past incidents prior to their dismissal, but ESPN also found a “pattern of leniency” in the wrestling program.
I was told that Donahoe continues to be very gay friendly, while Jordan says on air that his posing nude while in top physical condition “put smiles on people’s faces,” adding that “we’re not bad kids. We did some porn — get over it.” I’ll do a larger recap once the full episode is available (update: my recap).
Update: Donahoe scheduled to pose naked again for Fratmen.

His comment that “I didn’t think anyone was going to find out.” about something that’s being posted on the internet reminds me once again how naive young people are about this medium.
In the pharma analytical business it is an unspoken rule that “You don’t record anything that you wouldn’t want published on the front page of the New York Times.”
Video is the most revealing recording method currently known

At least these two fellas were secure enough in themselves to put themselves out there…
…although they might have wanted to make sure that they understood the ramifications…
…what’s wrong with porn anyway? It’s just a job like anything else that we do in this world.

A strong comeback is part of any great athletic story. good for them!
these guys were out of bounds but i am sure they experienced a good dose of homophobia that they will remember for the rest of their lives…

The seem like nice kids. They made a mistake that’ll maybe harm their reputations for a bit, but little else. Hope they can get past it.

I’m sorry Donahoe feels like he has to make the comment that he didn’t think anyone was going to find out. That’s not to say I think he should have been shouting it from the rooftops, but I wish he would take a page from Jordan’s book and just say “yeah, I made two thousand by showing off a body I worked hard to sculpt, I made people smile and enjoy the view and I enjoyed it as well. Get over it!”
Now that I hear them talk, I have to say that I like the tone of Jordan’s voice when he says that, too…he’d be the type of guy I’d take out for a beer and shoot the shit with; I wouldn’t hit on him, there’s no need. He’s what my grandaddy would call “good people”.
Donahoe too, I’m sure…but I’ll know better when I see the whole program.

They’re WINNERS! Handsome faces, hot bodies, big cocks, winning smiles, plenty of charm, and top wrestling skills. Who cares if ESPN are a bunch of aging, Viagra-popping homophobes? They probably freak out about this over greasy fried crap served by big-titty-bimbos at ESPN ZONE.
I bet Fratmen.com has gotten a spike in site visits and new memberships.
They got it, they flaunted it, and now all the old men are jealous of their youthful beauty, vigor and glow.
GOOD FOR THEM!

As a member of fratpad.com, I heard lots about this issue. I think it is fine that they posed and made good money for having great bodies. But I also buy Tom Osborne’s contention that this was the last straw for each, especially with Donahoe’s smarmy attitude and Jordan’s three times in jail. And if Donahoe has a continuing relationship with the assistant wrestling coach, I would like to know more about it. And if Donahoe has more information on the Nebraska program, he should be brought before a grand jury and given immunity and forced to sing! But I now feel sad for Kenny Jordan. He didn’t get the good deal that Donahoe did and Kenny was forced to sit out a year after transferring to Purdue. I just wonder why.

I heard the gossip and the pictures of the two wrestlers appeared on wordpress.com and that is how the university of Nebraska found out. You know one guy on the team had DUI and is still wrestling.

I often wrestle with ESPN, and it usually pins me with a Sleeper Hold.
