Portuguese soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo defended his wearing tight shorts and a pink flower behind his ear, saying he was comfortable with his sexuality. Ronaldo was seen outside a Hollywood nightclub this week sporting the pink look.
“I can see why, if you weren’t comfortable with your sexuality, you might not wear it. But I’m very comfortable so it’s not a problem for me. Men wear pink these days. OK, not many men wear flowers, but it’s good to be different,” Ronaldo told the British tabloid The Sun.
He also wonder about the obsession with his wardrobe:
I don’t know why people are so interested in what I wear on holiday. Last year, when I was in LA, everyone was talking about my tight trunks. Have you seen what people in LA wear? I was the most normal dressed person over there.
Anyway, what’s wrong with wearing tight pants? They look good and it’s better than having tan lines down your legs.
Here, here to Ronaldo. He looks good in just about anything and I like that he tells people to bugger off if they don’t like it.
Update: After I posted this, it was announced that Manchester United has agreed to transfer Ronaldo to Real Madrid for a record $131.6 million. That will buy a lot of pink flowers.

Yep, I wear a pink shirt now and then and it’s usually just the low life that think you’re gay just because you wear it. Embrace pink!

I f*ckin love Cristiano. So hot and love a man who does what he wants and dresses the way he wants and doesn’t give a crap what anyone thinks. That to me is a part of someone’s sex appeal, and that adds to the sex appeal of his outer beauty.

When you’re worth an offer of 150 million dollars from another club, WHAT THE F#@K DO YOU CARE, what other people think of your attire? It’s all entertainment and increases his value.
I think when you get into that salary range it’s also called F-U money, and I don’t mean Fordham University.
As he says, what his freedom of attire suggests is that there’s a difference in openness and self-confidence in Europe vs the USA.

Good for him for doing whatever he wants, but honestly the guy likes the attention (not that there’s really anything wrong with that.

Well to be fair…I wear pink as well (i.e. ties, dress shirts and polos, shorts) but there’s a difference between that and a pink flower behind the ear. No one would be questioning him if he was wearing a pink polo shirt. Its the pink flower behind the ear that had people like “wait a minute…”. But still…Cristiano is just doin his thing and not givin a damn what anyone else thinks. And just like sportinlife said…he’s probably sayin “F*ck you I’m rich”
