Their ridged beliefs hobble them. If they get comfort from their faith that's great. I don't need my life simplified like that. As a scientist I believe in facts and testing hypothesis and just can't believe in blind faith. Particularly when religion, Christianity and the bible have been used as political tools to control people for the purpose of building wealth and power. If a person has faith or is spiritual that's great. If a person of the LGBT community provides financial support or political support to their faith organizations who choose to interpret the bible as it suits them and works against the LGBT community they are working against their own better interests.
