The dude is quite likely a trainer or former player (no?) familiar w/some of the trainers role. If he was at/below the belt line on the right I’d say he was checking a hot appendix. He’s really pressing there as if a physician giving a physical not a massage. Maybe a hernia or groin pull? Looks like he’s checking out Renaldos leg/feet not massaging. The pretty boy doesn’t look comfortable at all either.

And making a big deal out of suffering “extreme” pain is one way to get it.
Soccer players are just better at it than other athletes due to extensive practice at diving.

I had a mild separation in my abdominal wall above my pelvic bone a while back. This looks exactly like the sort of thing the physio did when diagnosing.
