In the past week, we’ve had the University of Tennessee football team shirtless, then Georgia Tech shirtless. Now it’s Virginia Tech’s turn to try for something totally different in team photos. Deadspin says it best:
Virginia Tech appears to have eschewed typical action photos for some glamour shots they took at a Blacksburg Kohl’s. Because nothing says intimidation like a mid-air freeze frame reminiscent of Mary Tyler Moore, or your defense posing like 15-year-old girls watching Twilight at a slumber party.

I love these college football stunts! The spirit is honest and simple and the guys are HOT and HARD. I think the “Terrell Owens” Show on VH1 has gotten these guys realizing that there is more to life than pounding other guys on the field. I hope they do more of this in the future. Wouldn’t it be great to have them pose in speedo bikinis on the practice field?
