Far too early to tell. College football shakes out tremendously in the first four weeks, and any loss is a disaster. We need only to look at yesterday's games to see that some teams are not what we thought they were, and others are better. I graduated from Tulane, so I don't have a horse in this show.

Florida is not just ranked #1 because they are the defending National Champions... but mostly because they are returning EVERY starter on Defense and practically everyone on Offiense.

As usual... it is not as much a gimme as many would lead you to believe. We have to go to LSU... and well they want revenge for the super butt whoopin they got in the Swamp last year. UGAly will be better than most think... so you cant just look by them. For some reason we always have fits with those Mississippi teams. We are AT Miss St... whose new coach also happens to be Floridas former Offensive Coordinator. Its safe to say he knows the scheme pretty well I think.

Some questions about Fla;

1) Can Addazzio run the offense?
2) Who will fill the receiver spots for Percy Harvin and Louis Murphy?
3) Will Fla have an RB that can step up?
4) Can this team stay grounded and not look past anyone like Tenn, Ark, Miss St... etc?

The BCS lost too much credibility last year by not including Utah in the BCS championship and still maintaining that ANY Big East team belongs in any of the BCS bowl games. Look for TCU to go undefeated this year and not get invited to the big game.
My guess is Alabama/Texas in the championship.
I went to ASU...

I went to Ohio State, so naturally I'm biased, but I gotta say that I have nothing but respect for JoePa and the honest program that he runs. I wish other coaches would be as ethical/decent.

I have to agree that Florida has to be favored going in. But they face a very tough season in the SEC, to inlcude the SEC championship.

Oklahoma might be my second choice, but they are really in the same boat as Florida with the teams they have to work through and the championship game.

With USC playing Ohio State, either of those teams could make a move early in the season. But Oregon might end up being a thorn in both their sides. Especially if Ohio State drops a game they shouldn't (e.g., Penn State).

Should be a great season!
