It was a great tourney and the city was very welecoming.

I’d recommend working with volunteers to provide coverage and pictures.

Locally here in Milwaukee there were a few stories on TV and in the newspaper. It wasn’t covered as a sports story or as an “oddity” or as anything controversial. It was covered more like a convention is covered…something which brings people to the city and has a good economic impact. People were interviewed, and at least one TV station pointed out the time and location of championship games.

Anyway, we were glad to have you in town and hope you had a great time!

DW, we DID have some photos and a blogger at the event. Sorry, but with this economy we just can’t hire anyone to write about it. We write more about the Gay Bowl because we’re there. If you have someone who can give us highly discounted airfare and hotel, we’d LOVE to cover next year’s Gay World Series! We’ll be waiting for the offer next spring!

Hey DW,

I found out myself that they don’t have reporters that can routinely attend these events. They rely on the people who are going/playing to keep them updated.

I myself haven’t played softball in a few years, but I plan on playing again this fall and next summer. I am sure that Jim and Cyd would welcome any type of input the softballers have to help strengthen the gay softball section of outsports…whether it be updates on certain tournaments up through the GSWS.

horrible coverage. this is gay sports news and you can’t get any information on it other than through this blog. if only it was the gay bowl…it’s clear your coverage is biased by the fact you’re playing and more interested. Not even any pictures. Sad.
