With figure skating season about to start, many eyes are on the big names of Johnny Weir and Evan Lysacek. But Jeremy Abbott holds potentially as much promise for the Americans. He’s the defending U.S. Champion and last year won the Grand Prix Final (he finished 11th at the World Championships, which Lysacek won). The 24-year-old was born in Aspen and presently lives in Detroit. He calls Finding Neverland his favorite movie and Friends his favorite TV show. He apparently loves Chipotle (the 5-foot-9 skater must burn lots of calories, given the nutritional value of a Chipotle burrito).

I’m not sure I’d call a male figure skater a “jock”, but he’s definitely cute and talented. What’s a jock anyway? Seems like we use that term very loosely…particularly on pick-up sites!

yes, he is indeed gay. he dated pairs skater drew meekins and is currently seeing italian ice dancer massimo scali.
