It’s a sad day in Maine. Stand For Marriage’s fear-mongering strategy worked perfectly, stirring up the religious kooks and frightening the gullible into voting yes. However, we only lost by a 4% margin, a figure that bodes well for the future. In other words, they won the battle, but they won’t win the war. Someday, common sense will prevail, gay marriage will be legal, and Stand For Marriage’s so-called “victory” will be nothing but a pathetic footnote in history.

I just hope it happens in my lifetime…

Good Luck to everyone in Maine and here’s hoping the right result will prevail.

As I’ve said many times before – Canada has legalized same sex marriage and not only did the world not end but it had absolutely no effect on the lives of any hetrosexual couple or “marriage” itself.
