Dawson: They are not that good looking? Either you yourself are stepping out of a magazine or I am bored and horny. I "stand firm" in my admiration of Pettitte, Rodriguez, Jeter, Burnett, Gardner, Teixeira, Posada, Robertson.

Druggy Bear: You are absolutely right about Teixeira. I saw him in the hotel I was staying at in Cleveland last spring and rode the elevator with him. Talk about dumbfounded...

Patrick, remember what I said about New York fans and objectivity. Case in point. For $200 million what do you expect? And let's face it they are not that good looking either. And frankly Dancers have better bodies. And I work for a baseball team. Go figure.

"Baseball is the new gay porn."

haha i love that! and i love baseball, and even though I am a Giants fan, I did love seeing the Yankees win it all. i was lucky enough to get to Yankee Stadium this year and get seats with a great shot of Mark Texiera's banging ass!

Boring my ass. This is the greatest team in the history of sports. If you're bored turn the channel to "Dancing with the Stars" or some other creampuff show. Butch it up a little. Baseball is the new gay porn. Nothing hotter than our heroes.

I am sure the New York Yankee fans will say the World Series was exciting but as an non New York Yankee fan it was much ado about nothing. New York Yankees live in a world of their own like Boston Red Sox fans. Objectivity is not part of their vocabulary. No one questions the hugh following both teams have but their sense of right and wrong ended a century ago.

These two teams are expected to win. The announcer expect them to win. The media expects them to win. And what they have done to the sport they will never accept. Yes they along with the L.A., Atlanta and Chicago will overspend and take the best player but at what cost? They could all care less that Kansas City or and Oakland will never be able to compete long term. So for the most part we will always see the same teams over and over in the World Series. Yes, a Tampa Bay might sneek in but for how long? Not when their players become free agents.

And how many calls go to the Yankees again and again. Have we forgot the child a few years ago who reached over and interfered with a home run only to become a star with the New York media. What he did was interfer with the World Series yet who cares as long as a New York team gets the call.

And nothing will change because Fox or ESPN ratings go up when one of these teams are in the World Series. Do people want to see Houston vs Minnesota? Not according to the ratings.

So the Yankess win another World Series with a payroll over $200 million. Yes they pay a luxury tax but they have the highest radio/TV revenue packet in all of sports. So the luxury tax means nothing.

So the rich get richer and they could care less on how it effects all of baseball.

So as to the boring World Series, Blahhhhhhhhhhh.

As a long-time Yankees fan, it was a somewhat exciting World Series. The fact that Philadelphia is a likeable and well rounded talented team with a couple of potential HOFs, made me more excited about the pinstripers getting into the Series than winning it all.

As a native New Yorker now living in the Midwest, I was embarrassed for the city by their media's hyperbole directed at Texiera's less than spectacular Series debut. The guy only saved a few infielders from some potential gaffes; in hindsight, he kept the Yankees in the game with his fielding.
