This was supposed to be his third chance. His big breakout. Brady Quinn was being named the starter of the Cleveland Browns for the third time in the last two seasons, and we were finally going to see the player who earned first-round draft status. And then he had to play a game…and had one of the worst performances by a quarterback in the NFL this season. He completed under 42% of his passes, averaged an abismal 3.2 yards per attempt and threw 2 interceptions with no TDs. Other than his one 30-yard completion, he averaged 2.3 yards per attempt for the other 30 attempts. Plus, he should be looking at a fine for a dirty cheap shot hit on Terrell Suggs.
I know a lot of people think he’s hot, and I must say his looks have grown on me a bit. But he is tough to watch out there. Time to sit the guy on the bench and trade or release him in the offseason. Maybe he can do a better job sitting on a bench in Jacksonville or Green Bay.

Brady Quinn did not have a good game nor did the rest of the Browns team. To be fair, his two picks should have been caught - so I won’t fault him on those.
I do wonder how Quinn would fare under a competent offensive co-ordinator and on a team that’s not as pathetic as the Browns franchise.

OH…..Cyd….I think we’d have quite the conversation if we ever met in person, how much you hate on the Colts and Brady.
The Browns, as a whole, are awful, including at the wide receiver position. Is he supposed to throw it to himself???
I hope he does get traded or released in the off-season, and has a chance to show what he can do with someone catching the ball and an actual team around him. I think Jax, Tenn, Tampa Bay, Carolina, or any other of a number of teams may be a good fit…and an upgrade for them.

So the fact that Brady went 0 for on any pass beyond 10 yards has nothing to do with Brady right???? Yeah ok.
He sucks for the NFL. He never won the “big” game in college. I mean I think that Cyd is stating the obvious. If Brady Quinn looked like he got beat with the ugly stick, people wouldn’t still be hanging onto his nutsack!!!

Gotta go with some of the other commentors - it is a bit unfair to blame this all on Quinn. He hasn’t had consistent starts to build up his playing or confidence. The O Coordinator chose some terrible plays (really, a reverse on 3rd and long against the Ravens?). Also, the rest of the offense looked bad. I saw on more than one occasion the Ravens D just barrell through the Brown’s O-line. Quinn got very little pocket protection.

And… he’s only had around 7 starts in 3 years!! How does anyone build on that kind of incosistency?

Well, I still think Quinn has a bright future ahead of him as an underwear model or male stripper.

Chuckie sure wants a piece of that action. I could almost hear the drool everytime he spoke about Quinn.
The two picks were horrible passes and coulda been caught…by receivers that don’t play for the Browns.
Juaron was fired today but Mangini still has a job? The guy who didn’t think to call a time out when he saw his defense 1 man short on his own goal line? Please…it’s time for Mangini to go.
Oh and I heard the game from beginning to end last night because I didn’t go to a gay sports bar to watch it. I did miss the blaring Lady Gaga though. :p

When there is no one to throw to and no one to block, yes, that’s not all the QB’s fault.

Something about the NFL culture pins the whole team on the QB. Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl and Dan Marino never did. People need to wake up.

Maybe Brady Quinn and Levi Johnston will make a porno together….Success!

Mangini sent two of Cleveland’s best offensive players out of town, and didnt draft anyone to spell or replace Lewis…Something tells me Quinn wont be a Brown next season.

I am so sick of people talking about how good-looking Quinn is. You know what I find hot? Winners! I want to see a thrown ball caught by your intended receiver. THAT will get me to hang onto your ballsack! Until then, no more talk of his looks.

OK. OK. The guys absolutely SUCKS as an NFL QB, but man does he give good erection.
Hope he hangs on in the NFL at least as a backup and that the cameras always pan in on him a couple of times a game.

And he did get fined for that cheap shot against Suggs. Good. Quinn won’t refer to how much the fine was, but stated it was “a good amount”
on Nov 18th, 2009 at 5:39 pm
He was fined $10,000.
