It was the comments from DJ (above) that inspired me to create an account for this forum. I absolutely cherished his declaration of new found freedom. I’m not going to speak for him at all, but we, as a couple since 1991, have recently dropped out because we could not relate to just about anyone. Everyone had simply become irritating or whatever. We haven’t actually spoken of this lifestyle, but it’s an accepted notion we live with because actually talking about it would make us feel like freaks. We have decided to live in a simpler time and television plays a substantial part in it. We have turned off the television and our days are filled with Cannon, Barnaby Jones, Gilligan’s Island, The Golden Girls, MASH, All In The Family, The Bob Newhart Show, MTM, Twin Peaks and many more. That doesnt include out fascination with Robert Altman. Our only communication is the net. So, good luck DJ. Seriously.

ken, ur a moron. of course it was a hoax. ppl knew this from the very beginning, if u read all the comments. i find it hilarious that his biggest defender was “jimmy’ aka hockeyiscanda, yet he is the one that has exposed him. the whole thing stinks of a scam, by more than one person

I’m not really convinced it was all a hoax. If he was going to play D1 hockey, there is no way he could continue to blog and stay in the closet. There are not that many hockey scholarships and they are pretty much a matter of public record. The only way he could protect his anonymity is to make everyone believe the blog was fake, so he and Jimmy came up with this story. Just my crazy theory.

Listening to his interview right now on Ben and Dave’s podcast from January 18. Sounds like it could be a teenager or could easily be an older guy, possibly using something to pitch shift his voice up a tad.

@DJ, you’re too young to be bitter. Over time, you’ll find out that people (yes, that means you too) tend to see what they want to see. If you are pulling away from the gay community because of the jerks, for some reason you are looking on the dim side. Don’t give those people so much power. There are a lot of good people among the gay tribe, along with not so good.

@DruggieBear, and some others who doubt the blog’s veracity, the reality is that no one can know for sure. I think it’s authentic. If it’s not, well, then no one got hurt. In any case, the whole blase/jaded routine does no one any favors.
