Brady Quinn traded to Denver Broncos

The Cleveland Browns traded Brady Quinn to the Denver Broncos, meaning the NFL’s hottest quarterback will now be residing in the Rockies.

Quinn, a 2007 first-round pick who has been mediocre at best, was traded for fullback Peyton Hillis, a sixth-round pick in 2011 and a pick in 2012.

Quinn has started only 12 games in three seasons, sitting his first year then suffering injuries the last two seasons. He has thrown 10 touchdowns and nine interceptions, with the biggest knock on him being his relatively weak arm (only 11% of his completions have gone for 20 yards or more).

Quinn will compete for the Bronco’s QB position with Kyle Orton. Interestingly, Orton is a big Democrat, while Quinn is a Republican, so they can have their own point/counterpoint in the locker room.

On the other hand, Quinn twice was named to the Outsports NFL All-Hot team, and has the best body of any quarterback I’ve ever seen.

His chest is too big and it should have hair on it, so I’m not thrilled with the shirtless picture…but I like the rest.

Yeah, he was never that good with the long passes, but maybe the thinner air will help. Plus, not to be too gay, but he looks good in blue.

Altitude is not enough to make-up for a weak ARM. He’ll never last in Denver. Poor choice broncettes.

This mortifies me as a Bronco fan, but at least our quarterback can now pull double duty as our horse-faced mascot.

Alex Smith grew that hideous beard-like thing, and Carr has always looked like a plastic Ken-doll. ;-)

Yes…”hottest” QB is definitely up for debate. His body is the truth and I think he’s handsome in the face, but do have to agree with that Mr. Ed look to him. Its whatever…he’s an NFL bust and will probably get shuffled around to another few teams before its all over. He needs a team with a superb running back and tight ends so that he doesn’t have to throw too many long bombs. The only way he will shine is if he can dumb short passes to players who can get great YAC.

Considering he has never been able to play a full season and not had a specter of being pulled at the first sign of trouble, really don’t think its fair to call him a bust. Browns have a terrible offensive coordinator and the system was swirling around the drain since he got there. I’m not sure getting Jake Delhomme, a QB who is well past his prime now, is worth giving away Quinn. He at least had support of hometown fans and was something of a drawn for the team.

Tom Brady or Peyton Manning could not have made it work in Cleveland, so its not fair to blame his poor performance solely on him and not on the terrible system he was drafted into.

I’ve always thought from the first time I saw Quinn and his hot, bare arms playing as a Notre Dame sophomore…that he had an incredible future in gay porno.

Whatever…if Brady Quinn wasn’t “hot” I doubt people would be giving him the excuses they seem to be right now. He wasn’t spectacular in college and never won the really big game for ND so why should anyone be that surprised at his NFL career thus far?
