A prosecutor in Georgia this week did not charge Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger with the sexual assault of a 20-year-old woman, saying he could not prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. But the 572 pages of records into the investigation will convict him in the eyes of many.
It’s never a good thing to have your penis discussed in public, but that’s the effect of the testimony of the alleged victim contained in the records obtained by The Smoking Gun. Roethlisberger and the woman were drinking heavily at a Milledgeville bar called the Velvet Elvis, when she recounted this:
“Ben came back with his penis out of his pants. I told him it wasn’t OK, no, we don’t need to do this and I proceeded to get up and try to leave. I went to the first door I saw, which happened to be a bathroom. He followed me into the bathroom and shut the door behind him. I still said no, this is not OK, and he then had sex with me. He said it was OK. He then left without saying anything. I went out of the hallway/door to the side where I saw my friends. We left [the club] and went to the first police car we saw.”
The documents include conflicting statements about what happened and the accuser was very drunk at the time, but comments Roethlisberger allegedly made will stick in the public’s mind. Stuff like: “I’m not down to fuck, but I like to fuck girls.” And: “All my bitches, take some shots,” in response to Roethlisberger buying a round of drinks. I can imagine some pretty creative signs at Steeler away games.
The Steelers said they will announce any action on Roethlisberger in two weeks and some sort of suspension is expected. A trade is also not out of the question since the release of the records will further damage Roethlisberger’s reputation.

He’s looking rode hard and put up wet, isn’t he?
on Apr 16th, 2010 at 12:37 PM
What a tool.
on Apr 16th, 2010 at 2:34 PM
Knew it was all BS from the minute it started. All you have to do is look at the supposed victims’ “Down To Fuck” shirt.
Hey, if any hot girl walks up to someone in a “Down To Fuck” t-shirt, that’s the dictionary definition of asking for it. How much more green light does someone need? A signed pre-sexual agreement? Please.
This entire thing was total BS, and this girl ruined her life from crying to the cops. For the rest of her life she is now the DTF slut. Good. That’s what you get for false accusations.

What a creep.

@JT.’s “Hey, if any hot girl walks up to someone in a “Down To Fuck” t-shirt, that’s the dictionary definition of asking for it.”
That’s an interesting theory.
So all those people wearing an “I’m with stupid” t-shirt are just asking to get whacked by whoever is standing next to them on the side where the tip of the arrow points.
Ben Roethlisberger looks like the person on the tip of that arrow.

Damn, If Ben came up to me with his penis hanging out, I would have said, slide it on in and feed me baby. Ben can let me taste his penis anyday and anywhere!!!
on Apr 16th, 2010 at 4:37 PM
I just don’t believe this story! Yes, he should not have been there but this just seems like a bunch of BS…. These people seriously come out of the woodwork…
on Apr 16th, 2010 at 5:32 PM
I believe it. this isn’t the first woman to accuse this scumbag of sexual misconduct, and I doubt she’ll be the last.
And wow he is not aging well at all, not that he was hot to begin with…

A “Down To Fuck” t-shirt on a girl, who’s drinking heavily, in a night club = absolute whore slut in any and all corners of the country. Can you imagine? The only worse shirt she could possibly be wearing is one that actually said “I’m a whore”.
So does this mean someone gets a free one from her without permission? No, sportinlife.
But it definitely means she’s not a prim honor student who was quietly reading a book in the corner.
She was drunk, followed him around town, was draped all over him all night, and made extra special sure to point out the “I’m an easy whore slut” t-shirt label to him……. and then was shocked when he finally took her up on her advances. Oh, yeah…. his wallet has several million dollars in it. What a coincidence!
Please.
on Apr 16th, 2010 at 9:27 PM
No, it doesn’t matter if she is walking around showing her vagina to everybody in sight. If she said, no, then he should have respected that.
This is the thing that keep women from coming forward. They are always labeled as a whore or slut or deep-down want it. It is sick that you defend him because he is a rich athlete.
on Apr 16th, 2010 at 10:01 PM
why would anyone give Roethlisberger the benefit of the doubt? as soon as i finished typing that last comment this came out about ANOTHER case where he forced himself on a woman:
“Roethlisberger is claimed to have “forced his hand up the young woman’s skirt,” the AJC writes.”
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/04/16/ben-roethlisberger-accuse_n_540442.html
but if she’s wearing a slutty t-shirt it’s ok, right!?!
on Apr 17th, 2010 at 2:15 AM
“but if she’s wearing a slutty t-shirt it’s ok, right!?!”
I don’t think it’s a matter of if the slutty shirt makes it ok or not. It’s a matter of the credibility of the accuser. She wears a “Down To Fuck” shirt, gets completely wasted, follows around an accused rapist who happens to be a multi millionaire, has sex with him, and cries rape without witnesses and phsyical signs of forced sex. I’m sorry, but I can’t believe that she said no. If she did say no, then of course he should have stopped and should be convicted for not stopping. However, with her drunken state and admitted promiscuity (she is, after all, down to fuck), I don’t believe she said no (and that, I realize, is just my opinion). Ben is going to have to watch his back from now on because every opportunistic lying whore he comes into contact with is going to cry rape because he has that reputation now. In the end, Ben has nobody but himself to blame for this since he’s not made sure to keep himself from baseless accusations.

she was wearing a DTF shirt?
isn’t like saying the shop is open and visitors are welcome?
on Apr 17th, 2010 at 12:32 PM
I am appalled that people are eviscerating the victim. So she wore that shirt? Does that mean that it is okay to assume that she wants to have sex?
Let’s try this theory. Suppose there is a hot guy. He is buying drinks all night, and just being a cool guy. He is staggering drunk. You take advantage of him even though he told you earlier that he was straight. He beats the crap out of you the next day. Would blame the guy that got taken advantage of or the gay guy that got his behind beat?
on Apr 17th, 2010 at 7:31 PM
It doesn’t matter what the t-shirt said. People wear crude t-shirts all the time. That doesn’t mean anything. Whether there was criminal behavior or not, one thing is clear: Roethlisberger is a major douchebag.
on Apr 18th, 2010 at 8:36 AM
JT for me it is a simple matter of free speech. If someone wears a t-shirt with a racist or anti-semitic slogan during a protest, it doesn’t give other people the right to bash that person.
If someone wears a suggestive slogan in a bar it doesn’t give others the right to assault them.
Free speech doesn’t stop at the bar door. Roethlisberger, or anyone one else, should know the difference between those two.
on Apr 18th, 2010 at 11:09 AM
I think the point several of us are trying to make is that her accusation is not credible when you consider the facts. She’s drunk, she’s wearing a down to fuck t-shirt, and she’s partying with a man who has a down to fuck reputation. Yes, if she said no and he forced himself on her, then he is 1000% in the wrong. However, how can we believe that is what happened? Why do some people automatically believe her that she said no? Why can’t some of you realize that perhaps she’s just a lying, opportunistic whore? We at least know she has questionable morals based on the fact that she’s a “down to fuck” drunk. On the flip side, it’s sad that her confirmed actions (again, getting drunk with a known womanizer while wearing a down to fuck shirt) cause enough reasonable doubt to doubt her rape claims. Why is everyone rushing to ruin a man’s career and life based on the unconfirmed claims of a drunk whore? If you want to bash him for being the kind of guy who pulls his cock out and fucks any random bar chick, then go right ahead. However, I believe (and it’s a bit of a struggle) we shouldn’t convict a man of a crime he’s NEVER been charged with (in GA or NV).
on Apr 19th, 2010 at 12:11 AM
It doesn’t matter WHAT t-shirt she had on–she cannot legally consent to sex if she was drunk.
And FWIW, could you imagine if a black athlete was accused of sexual assault twice in 8 months? (And stories of a third assault which never made it to police)? He’d be kicked off the team and tried in the court of public opinion faster than you can say “Michael Vick.” Or, “Santonio Holmes.” Or, “Larry Johnson.”
on Apr 19th, 2010 at 1:02 AM
Thank you “victim-blame much” Its clear that there is a pattern going on here with “Big Ben” who does look god awful disgusting in that picture. I mean how many “situations” need to happen from these girls for there not to be some kind of shady pattern established. Rooney has already stated his displeasure and that he will be punished. There is the court of public opinion and what can be done as a result of the law.
Bottom line is that no charges were brought against him, but in the court of public opinion, his reputation is forever tarnished in my opinion. However, these are serious allegations and he’s apologized for his “behaviors” so he wasn’t doing something right. Its going to be very interesting to see how this all plays out and if there are some double standards that rear their head.
As for the comments stating that somehow this girl deserved it or had it coming or must be a whore because she had a “DTF” shirt on are so beyond stupid I can’t even come up with a word for it. As was said…she could’ve been walking around stark NAKED, if she said no…thats the end of the story. I can’t believe people still make those dipshit comments when it comes to rape allegations.
on Apr 19th, 2010 at 6:47 AM
Agreed Ben looks like a filthy drunk in that pic…(gag)
on Apr 19th, 2010 at 2:19 PM
What about the fact that having sex in public restrooms is illegal and Ben went in there intending to commit a crime?
on Apr 20th, 2010 at 11:17 AM
If you analyze the reports on Smoking Gun carefully, you’ll see that the alleged victim was so drunk she wasn’t sure what was happening. Further, she gave conflicting reports as to what she told Roethlisberger; either “I don’t think this is a good idea,” or “It’s not OK.” Which was it? Probably neither. If she were really raped she would have cried out, or struggled at least a little bit.
Most tellingly, the police COULD NOT RECOVER ANY MORE THAN TRACE AMOUNTS OF HIS DNA FROM HER! Come on, if he really forced himself on her, there would be abundant quantities of his semen in her. But no, the “trace amounts” is completely consistent with the witness reports that she fell down drunk, he helped her up, and that was IT. He touched her, but not intimately.
At the outset, I was prepared to believe the worst about Roethlisberger, and this story is spun in that direction. However, after reading the documents, I am convinced that this is another Duke Lacrosse type of incident, where a drunken slut imagines that she was raped when in fact nothing untoward was done to her at all.
No wonder the DA declined to indict!
on May 24th, 2010 at 12:47 PM
No means no.
on Jun 2nd, 2010 at 10:01 AM
“No means no,” fine, but where is the proof that this sad excuse for womanhood SAID “no.” Like the accuser in the Duke lacrosse case, her credibility is zero.
“DNA doesn’t lie.”

I agree with Nick … if Ben Roethlisberger walked up to me with his dick out I would be on my knees so fast. It’s one of my fantasies … blowing Ben
on Sep 25th, 2010 at 2:49 AM
Now here’s a guy who’s dick you’d like to suck hard, swallow, and play like the harmonica. I can just hear him saying, “Suck my dick.”!!!!!!!!
