I dont think he wanted to hurt people but it was clear that this person felt his staying in the closet to protect his hockey career was more important than anything in life. It was appalling to me how he justified using girls, with encouragement from posters, in order to keep up this facade.

So I am convinced that while Mikey wasnt a monster, but he would do ANYTHING to protect his closet. anyone who doesnt get that hasnt been paying attention.

1) Jimmy himself is a fake or
2) That Jimmy is covering up for Mikey, who is real and might close to being exposed.

the last time i went to that website, the commenter who was the “closeted football player” from new jersey who came out to his “team”, logged in under a different name, but i guess didn’t log out entirely, or whatever it was, well, he commented as somebody else, but his picture and nickname was still there, but the person was posing as somebody else trying to coax this dude “mikey” into asking him out. the text was different, and not that of the “kid” that was portrayed with the “text speech”, you know the child-like text speak. the guy who pretended to be the football kid from jersey realized the mistake and then commented again as the kid from jersey saying he was “acting crazy”. yeah, i agree…to say the least. that in itself speaks volumes about people pretending to somebody else online. i knew that blog was too fake. it was funny though but very creepy. i knew that both “kids” werre probaby grown men.

What you’ve said is rational and wanting answers is perfectly reasonable; however, stalking a teenager on Facebook and posting details of their personal life on a gay sports news site is neither reasonable nor responsible.

Do I think Mikey really was who he said he was. YES.
Do I think he thought saying he was 40 etc would solve this YES
Do I think he wanted to hurt anyone NO
Did this whole thing get bigger than he wanted to YES
ARe there questions unanswered YES
Will we get answers from “Mikey” the 40 year old (or the 18 year old) NO (not likely now)

It shows how much one has to be guarded on anything and I mean anything in terms of profiles on line etc. Unless you can verify the person is real through objective evidence (e.g. I have talked to this person, etc…..and doesn’t mean now that someone should take that chance to try and meet a random someone….just saying)…then there is always the chance that what is online is a mirage/fake etc.

The kicker in all of this is where is Jimmy/Moose?
Just very odd how he has gone so silent!!!
