Stanley Cup at Chicago gay pride parade

Here are links to some cool images from Reuters of Brent Sopel of the Chicago Blackhawks riding in the Chicago gay pride parade with the Stanley Cup. Sopel was just traded to Atlanta and said he participated in the parade to honor the late Brendan Burke. Photo links:

Wait until you see the pics I got. He raised the Cup up over his head in response to some trucks honking at him in celebration.

    Was absolutely remarkable.

That is awesome. I half-expected that Sopel would back out, especially after he got traded to Atlanta, or the NHL would not allow the Cup to be there, or something. Now I get home after a long day of softball and drinking ;-) to find that the Cup was there and so was Sopel. Awesome!!!
