This is the kind of non-story that gets all the Midwest yokels licking their chops. Of course the city officials have to legally clear itself of financial obligation to Synergy if the Games pull a fast one and capitulate to all the D.C./Boston queens splitting their over-moussed hairs about the selection process — A YEAR AFTER THE FACT. However, Cleveland and Akron city officials have REPEATEDLY gone on record stating they still will support (financially and otherwise) the games in Northeast Ohio, with or without Synergy.

We have awesome August weather and we just successfully hosted the Bingham Cup. Come for sport but stay to check out and enjoy our beautiful state.

We have first-class sports venues and the people here are pretty cool, too!
