Tony Dungy promotes “pro-family alternative” to Madonna’s Super Bowl halftime show

Former Indianapolis Colts coach and now NBC analyst Tony Dungy is part of a three-minute video for a Christian adoption agency that is billed as a “pro-family” alternative to Madonna’s Super Bowl halftime show. Dungy has raised money for groups fighting gay marriage. From One News Now, which runs news from a Christian perspective:

Most of the country will be glued to the television Sunday evening for the Super Bowl — but Christians, especially those hosting watch parties, are encouraged to play a free video message from a former championship coach as an alternative to Madonna’s halftime show.

Tony Dungy and his wife have recorded a three-minute video on the topic of adoption. Marc Andreas, vice president of marketing for the adoption agency Bethany Christian Services, shares about the video — and the Dungys. … It will be great to … share a personal message from Tony about children — about adoption, orphans and children.

Bethany Christian Services successfully fought against a nondiscrimination clause based on sexual orientation for adoptions in Virgina, so we know what their definition of “family” is, and it doesn’t include me. And with Madonna “bringing gay” to the Super Bowl, we know which side she is on.

Joe.My.God has the three-minute video.

Dungy still works for NBC. NBC wants all eyes on the halftime show. Erego, I think Dungy should be fired by NBC. ;-)

Excellent point, Joe!! Much rather the BIGOT be FIRED!!! Cannot stand his hypocritical bullshit!! + his ears are HUGE & usually all we see on Football Night in America! Doesn’t he know that the red light means face that camera?!!! Obviously, not too bright if he thinks 3 minutes will cover the 1/2 time festivities! lol A shame his older boy had to live w/him & his family-less values. Wish he’d have found acceptance rather than kill himself, tho!!!

Madonna is a mother (named after the mother of all mothers). She has children… ‘natural’ AND adopted. Why watch Dungy’s adoption video when you can see a performance from a woman who actually IS an adoptive mother?
