Tennis star Novak Djokovic won himself a whole bunch of new fans in his response to a boy yelling to him from the stands at the U.S. Open: “Will you marry me?” Same-sex marriage is legal in New York, though the boy is certainly not of age.
Djokovic was hitting balls at a practice session when the boy yelled out. The crowd laughed and the tennis player invited the boy down to hit a few. Djokovic even played the part of a ball boy and gave the kid a sweet hug after. Some question whether the whole thing was staged, but it is still a nice moment.
