]]> Illinois lineman Chris Jones has been arrested for aggravated assault stemming from an incident last weekend, and some say it was an anti-gay hate crime. Illinois head coach Ron Zook has suspended Jones indefinitely for the incident. Jones has been charged with aggravated assault and not a hate crime because the former carriers a heavier sentence.

Jones apparently claims the men had “jumped” him earlier in the week. At 6-foot-5, 310 pounds Jones is as big as the two men combined: At ages 19 and 28 both men are 5-foot-9; One is 140 pounds, the other 165 pounds.
