Suarez is the talented Cuban who won the bronze in the decathlon. Outsports contributing photographer Finneye captured these great images of Suarez at a meet this May in Austria.

Rogers (the guy with the facial hair) and Dalhausser (the bald guy, right) won the men’s beach volleyball gold. Rogers is known the “The Professor” and Dalhausser “The Beast.” Brent Mullins has shot the team in Southern California tournaments and presents some great shots after the jump.

I featured Danish rower Morten Joergensen as a “hot jock” after his lightweight fours rowing team won the gold.

Finneye has sent me this terrific gallery of the team from a Danish newspaper, that includes the most homoerotic shot of the Games (right), with Joergensen in the arms of teammate Thomas Ebert. I don’t know anything about Joergensen, but he certainly likes to camp it up.

A couple of days ago I picked Dutch gymnast Epke Zonderland as a “hot jock.” Now, we have been granted permission to run some photos of Zonderland taken by Dutch photographer Ewoud Broeksma, who has extensive galleries of athletes on his site. Photos after the jump.

Symmonds ran the 800 meters but missed out on a chance to reach the finals. That didn’t stop NBC from spending about five minutes covering him, including two interviews. He’s the kind of guy who doesn’t take a bad photo.

Out Aussie diver Matthew Mitcham faces the final diving event of the Beijing Games, the 10m platform, beginning with the preliminaries at 7pm Beijing time (7am EST) Friday. Mitcham failed to qualify for the 3m springboard final earlier this week. The 10m platform is thought to be his better event. Americans David Boudia and Thomas Finchum will also compete. China is 7-for-7 in diving gold medals at these Olympics. Can anyone spoil their quest for a sweep?

It’s not easy to find much on the Web about Russian volleyballer Yury Berezhko. One of the few tidbits I was able to uncover was that his favorite kind of music is “club music,” which would make him gay in the U.S. but in Europe makes him like just about everybody else. He’s one of the stars of his team, and they’ve just advanced to the semifinals after a five-set win over Bulgaria. At 24 years and 6-foot-6, if the volleyball thing doesn’t work out for him, I’m sure Abercrombie & Fitch could find something for him to do.

Comedy Central sent us a clip called “Why Sexy Athletes Are Evil,” featuring Michael Phelps at No. 1. Some pretty good stuff in here, including this on David Beckham: “What’s the point of David Beckham? To get more gay guys to watch soccer? There are already gay guys watching soccer — they’re called Europeans.” Video after the jump

Frodeno, the German who grew up in South Africa, won today’s Olympic triathlon with a thrilling sprint to the finish by 5.19 seconds over Canada’s Simon Whitfield. in his bio, NBC writes about Frodeno, 27: “He is a svelte 6′4″, weighing in at only 165 lbs, with a body fat percentage of a minuscule five percent”

It was rather touching to see Brazil’s Cesar Cielo cry after winning the men’s 50-meter freestyle. He cried in the pool, he cried after getting out of the pool and he cried on the podium. “I am overwhelmed by emotion,” he said. It was cool that he let the world see his emotions.

There was a rather odd reaction to Cielo’s win by Russia’s Alexander Popov, a multi-gold medalist of his own: “Cesar is very good. He has two balls, two arms and a strong head.” Are there guys swimming with less than two balls, two arms or a head?

Out Aussie diver Matthew Mitcham has qualified for the semifinal round with his six dives in today’s 3m springboard prelims. Mitcham qualified 15th; eighteen divers qualified. Predictably, Chinese men sit first and second. Both American divers, Chris Colwill and Troy Dumais, also qualified. The semis will be held Monday night at 10pm EST and can be followed here if NBC isn’t showing them live.

Soccer stud David Beckham, not content to cede the media spotlight to Michael Phelps, will appear at the Olympics next week as part of the official handover ceremony from Beijing to London on Aug. 24. Becks will arrive at the Bird’s Nest atop a double-decker bus and kick a soccer ball into the crowd. Phelps, not to be outdone, will visit London on his way home from the Games in a marketing tour that’s part of an effort to cash in on his eight gold medals.

Amid all of this flesh-trading is grumbling that London Olympic organizers can’t keep details of their preparations quiet. I guess it’s easier in China when an oppressive regime is in charge, so focused on image that they tape over logos on toilet stalls.

Just watched Denmark lightweight fours win the gold medal in rowing and seeing the four celebrate after was like watching a photo shoot for A&F. Among them is Joergensen, 23, a single student majoring in finance. More great shots of the four Danes after the jump.

The 2008 Olympics’ only openly gay male athlete will make his Olympic debut Monday in diving’s 3m springboard preliminaries. Matthew Mitcham, of Australia, is expected to advance beyond the prelims, though his better event is the 10m platform which will take place later this week. You can follow results live at 7am Eastern / 4am Pacific here. The semifinal round will take place at 10pm EST (Mon), and one can only hope NBC will show it live. NBC is likely to delay coverage of the final until the primetime broadcast Tuesday night (though the event will happen at 8:30am EST), and they will focus heavily on American’s Troy Dumais and Chris Colwell.
