  Did anyone else get the vibe that Justin Olsen and Steve Mesler bobsled on and “off” the ice? Or is this common knowledge and I’m just figuring it out? It was adorable how they couldn’t keep their hands off of each other, with Justin even looking at the camera sheepishly at one point after he realized he’d just been busted fussing with the lapel of Mesler’s coat right before an interview, trying to get it perfect. And then Mesler sweetly laughed at Olson’s (un-funny) comments to the interviewer, knowing how nervous the 22 year-old was, and then squeeze-shaked him a couple times from behind to let him know he did a good job. He wasn’t handing out at any encouraging sympathy laughs and hugs to any of his other buddies. And how many straight jocks use the word, “Surreal?” I mean really. I LOVED them. In fact, I’m not convinced all 4 of them aren’t gay. They were never NOT touching one another. The 4-man bobsleigh was, by far, my favorite gold medal moment of the whole Olympics, and I watched and loved every minute of the games. If any of them are reading this once they’ve had a chance to google themselves: YOU MADE US PROUD! (if for nothing else than how good you looked in your USA jumpsuits)

  do you have a link to that interview? i remember seeing them being interviewed as a team, and they couldn’t keep their hands off each other and looking at each other. i mean, it was super freakin’ cute. i’m sure they’ve been training with each other for years, so, they know each other well, but it was so sweet and endearing.

  @crazzee247, Here’s the link I was talking about. Pay special attention to the interview immediately following their Gold Medal Run. Those two are in love! So sweet!

  All the horsing around immediately after their winning run even gave Mesler a semi.

  Hate to break it to you- - Steve Mesler is enegaged to my cousin, Liz. They’re getting married October 16, 2010.

  I can’t believe I just happen to check back today, for the first time since March, to see that it is the exact day Mesler is marrying Andy’s cousin “Liz.” I wonder if the wedding happened, and if it did, I wish he and his lucky wife nothing but happiness, even if it crushes my dreams, but it will never change my conviction that he and Justin have (or once had) 2-man sleighed in their own private idaho.

  Did Mesler end up getting married today?
