We've heard rumors in the past that NFL wide
receiver Braylon Edwards is gay, but we'd never
written about it until Deadspin reported a couple
rumors they had heard. Cyd and Jim talk about
whether they should be adding new stories to the
fire or if reporting on the stories others unveil is
all they should do.

interested to see, but not enough to watch 12 hours

Quick, which of these two 'Survivor' gay athletes

knows closeted gay men in pro tennis, and she's
asking the likes of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer

For the first time in a long time, this just didn't
feel like a very gay year in sports. Why is that,
for good and bad? A local news show airs a shot with
a Minnesota Viking tight end's penis. By the way,

to the college football season that is the BCS

Do NFL overtime rules suck? The near future of
Outgames and Gay Games.
Jim has long hated the NFL overtime rule that often
gives only one team the ball; both Jim and Cyd offer
their solutions. How bad was it that Donovan McNabb
and other NFL players didn't know that only one
overtime period is played? The Outgames and Gay
Games seem to be playing nice. Does this, and the
impending world economic recession, present the
possibility that these two events will eventually
merge?

think one of them has a very good chance. A British
gay group gave an award to a gay soccer group,
passing up Matthew Mitcham in the process. And a
Texas Longhorn was kicked off the team for a racist
Facebook post; would he have been kicked off if it
was homophobic?

Patriots laid an egg against the Dolphins and Ronnie
Brown. Plus, NFL players grabbing genitals, the MLB
playoff picture, the U.S. wins the Ryder Cup and the

over the standard disqualification of a gay team for
having too many straight players; but Jim and Cyd
are both very OK with it. NFL tight end Chris Cooley
showed his penis, but the Redskins were upset that
he showed his playbook! Plus, more talk from an
author about Troy Aikman's sexuality, and referee Ed
Hochuli still paying for his bad call in the
Chargers-Broncos game.
