San Jose State has been cast into the debate about transgender athletes in women’s sports. While most of the players likely had no interest in this debate, here they are, part of the sudden interest in women’s sports from OutKick and others.

To be clear, OutKick and founder Clay Travis had just about zero interest in women’s sports before they realized they could drum up political animosity around trans athletes.

Suddenly OutKick is covering women’s sports on a daily basis.

Either way, the San Jose Spartans are 11-1 now in the NCAA. However, the team’s website for some reason doesn’t count their wins through forfeit, claiming the team is 9-1.

Make no mistake: The San Jose State women’s volleyball team is 11-1.

So why is the SJSU website refusing to count a forfeit win as a win?

Your guess is as good as ours.

Still, there is conversation about Blaire Fleming, an athlete on the SJSU women’s volleyball team who is believed by some to be transgender.

Outsports will continue to follow this developing story.
