Tyler Downs is a Team USA diver who’s about to compete at the 2024 Olympics, his second Summer Games. Now he’s spilling the tea on his flirting, too.

He posted several Instagram stories touting a new “dating game” app that focuses on flirting. And Downs says flirting and diving are “very similar.”

If his diving is any indication, he’s a flirting superstar.

“Diving and flirting are very similar,” he says into the camera. “They’re both an art form. You can either be really good at it…”

At this point in the video, we see quintessential diver Tyler Downs, as he hits a perfect 10 from the diving board, with virtually no splash.

Then we get comedian Tyler Downs…

“Or you can be really bad at it,” as he does a full-on bellyflop into the pool.

If you’re bad at flirting, Downs has the recipe to improvement, just like in his diving profession.

“They both take lots of practice to get the right result you want. So my question for you, what’s your opening line when you’re flirting with somebody?”

In between practices and competitions, Downs says he’ll be spending a lot of time on the Rizz app while he’s in Paris. So if you’re in the City of Lights, track him down.

Though, Downs has never talked specifically about whether he flirts with guys, girls or both.

What we do know is that he isn’t afraid to have some fun between competitions. He and gay bestie Bryden Hattie were the talk of Santiago, Chile, as well as Montreal, when the two were all the talk as they sashayed their way through the towns during major international diving competitions.

So if you’re in Paris, be on the lookout for Downs on Rizz, in the Marais, at the Hard Rock, or who knows where else he and his sense of humor might pop up.

Diving is wrapped up in the first week, so he’ll have even more free time in week two. In Paris, Downs will compete in the synchronized 3-meter springboard, with teammate Greg Duncan.
